(PAWHUSKA, Okla.) The 2024 Academy Awards are gearing up to be another historic night for the cast and crew of “Killers of the Flower Moon”, the Osage people, and the community.

The blockbuster film is up for ten Oscar nominations, including Lily Gladstone, the first Native American woman to be nominated for Best Actress, and Scott George, the first Native American to be nominated for Best Original Song and the first Osage to be nominated for an Oscar.

To celebrate, Osage News is rolling out the Red Carpet once again for the public to join in on the revelry at their watch party at Osage Casino-Hotel Pawhuska on March 10th.

Doors will open at 5 PM for professional photography, followed by the Red-Carpet pre-show at 5:30 PM and the awards show kickoff at 6:00 PM.

A Fireworks show will conclude the event at 9:30 PM.

“Reservation Dogs” Actor and “Killers of the Flower Moon” stylist John Parker, who also acted in the film, will be the night’s emcee.

Osage News Editor Shannon Shaw Duty said she takes great pleasure in holding this event for the community while she and her team will be live from the Red Carpet in Hollywood.

“We wanted to provide a place for everyone to celebrate the achievements of the film, the achievements of the Osage Nation, and the achievements of the community who have supported this beautiful masterpiece from the beginning,” Shaw Duty said.

In addition to Parker, many other KOTFM actors are expected to attend the Osage Oscars Watch Party in Pawhuska.

Shaw Duty said this event was made possible thanks to more than a dozen event sponsors and partners, including Osage Casino, Chad Renfro Design, WINC, and Verified News Network (VNN) Oklahoma, for whom she is very grateful.

“It’s overwhelming the support we have received for this event,” Shaw Duty said.
