LAWTON, Okla. – The Josh Abbott Band will take the stage at Comanche Nation Casino on Saturday, Aug. 23, with gates opening at 7 p.m. and the show starting at 8 p.m. The performance will launch Comanche Nation Entertainment’s new concert series, bringing artists to Southwest Oklahoma.  

“This will be a night to remember and a preview of the exciting entertainment we’re bringing to Comanche Nation Entertainment properties,” said Shandi Tahhahwah, General Manager of Comanche Nation Casino.  

The concert marks the beginning of a larger expansion in entertainment offerings across Comanche properties, including the recently announced event center at Comanche Red River Hotel Casino. Guests can expect more live music, special events and engaging experiences in the near future. 

“We’re a tight-knit community out here, so bringing in well-known acts like Josh Abbott Band creates excitement and gives people a reason to come together,” Tahhahwah said. “We want our guests to feel like there’s always something new and worth coming back for.”   

The Josh Abbott Band is a Texas-based country group known for blending heartfelt lyrics with a modern take on traditional country music. Formed in Lubbock in 2006, the band has built a fanbase across the U.S. with energetic live shows and emotionally driven songs. Some of their top hits include “She’s Like Texas,” “Wasn’t That Drunk” (featuring Carly Pearce) and “Amnesia.”
