
ADA, Okla. — Music lovers are in for a treat as husband-and-wife duo Alyssa & Wayne Brewer bring classic country soul and charm to the McSwain Theatre 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 in a tribute to country legends George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
“They are very sweet people that love singing and performing onstage,” Jae L. Stilwell, general manager of the McSwain Theatre, said. “They love interacting with the audience.”
With tight harmonies and heartfelt storytelling, the pair will take fans back to the golden era of country music — when songs were simple, sincere and steeped in emotion.
“They sing classic country music, mostly George Jones and Tammy Wynette songs,” Stilwell said. “The show is a tribute to George and Tammy. They will most likely perform other songs that the audience will recognize.”
Their debut album, “Alyssa & Wayne Sing George & Tammy,” paid tribute to one of country’s most iconic duos, earning them praise for their authenticity and chemistry. Their sophomore release, “Lonesome & Blue,” marks an exciting new chapter, featuring their first original song while staying true to the traditional sounds that inspire them.
Featured by Country Music Television and People magazine, the couple has captured millions of views with their viral music videos, earning them a devoted following from traditional country fans around the world.
Together, Alyssa & Wayne Brewer are keeping the heart of classic country alive one song at a time. The duo is based in the center of the country music scene, Nashville, Tennessee.
“They have been to the McSwain Theatre before. They are nice to work with, very humble people; very upbeat and ready to entertain,” Stilwell said.
Tickets for the performance are $42 for premium seating, $34 for floor seats and $28 for balcony seating.
